American College of Professional Neuropsychology (ACPN)

Continuing Education (CE) Policy

The ACPN sponsors continuing education programs that have been developed to meet the needs of psychologists.  The Continuing Education Committee works diligently to provide programs that are of interest to the wide variety of topics relevant to the field of neuropsychology.  Courses are designed to be timely, relevant, and culturally sensitive to the diverse population served by our members.

The workshops listed are sponsored by the ACPN.  The ACPN is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.  The ACPN maintains responsibility for the program and its content.  The registrant is responsible to maintaining records of completed continuing education courses.  ACPN will provide a document that certifies that the registrant was present for the entire program and earned the CE credits.

The APA continuing education rules require that ACPN only give credit to those who attend the entire workshop.  An evaluation form for each CE-eligible workshop attended must be completed to receive CE credit.  Credit is awarded on a session-by-session basis.  Those who arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time or leave before the workshop is completed will not receive CE credit.  Partial credit will not be given.  Learning objectives and rating forms for all CE workshops will be available at the workshop site prior to the session.  Beyond the general registration and specific workshop fees, there is no additional cost for CE.

ACPN is committed to accessibility and non-discrimination in its continuing education activities and will conduct these activities in conformity with the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles for Psychologists.

If you have any questions regarding the ACPN  continuing education program or learning objectives, please contact the Chair of the Continuing Education Committee, Dr. Robert Elliott at (310) 545-6400 or at drbobusc@gmail.com.
